This book was exactly what it promised to be: brilliantly petty!

I had so much fun reading all the snarky comments and jokes scattered throughout. The patterns themselves have a variety from a basic hat to amigurumi, they're explained so well. They also come with QR codes with links to video tutorials which is great for visual learners! Planning to try a few in the coming days!!

The only issue I had was that the formatting was off in lots of pages. I hope that can be corrected before printing.

This is quite the unique crochet book … she is not kidding when she titled this book Snarky crochet! Once you open and start reading about the designs, you realize there are for those you want to make a point too .. with out saying anything! The patterns, definitely snarky and a bit passive aggressive at times. The introduction is definitely worth a read. She sums it up perfectly when she says: “ This book is for the irreverent, the petty and the plain fed up”.

You are getting a book of 15 snarky crochet projects, so don't be surprised at what is in here! The directions are written in detail but you may need to be a little more then just a beginner to try most of these, you should be able to read a pattern (written) and know your basic stitches already. If you are looking to make a statement to someone then this is a great place to start. There is a lot of information in this book and some very funny (and snarky) comments. This would be better for someone who is comfortable with crochet already.

Some of the patterns have a QR code which will link you to the authors YouTube account where she helps you through some of the more challenging parts of some of her projects in the book. It dose not give you a whole tutorial on the whole pattern, just the parts she thinks you will need help with. Be ready, the videos has a bit of sass to them (as you might expect from a book about snarky crochet in the first place).

⭐️ 1 star - I don't recommend it at all.
⭐️⭐️ 2 stars - I don't recommend it, poorly written or bad information.
⭐️⭐️⭐️ 3 stars - Good Book. Not for me. Not the most well written.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4 stars - Very good book ,I would recommend and well written.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 stars - Book that I totally recommend and could not put down. Well written and a book I would read again

The title told me Snarky Crochet by Lisa Ha was a book for me, and the introduction confirmed it. Her irreverent, punny patterns, she says, are to make gifts for people you don’t like - but you don’t want them to know you don’t like them.
The first pattern out of the gate is of a lovely simple scarf, and she suggests a “spite stripe”, one row in the center to be made of the “itchy, gnarliest yarn that you can find.”
The patterns were all as fun and snarky as the first, the instructions were detailed and filled with the same humor as the intro.
She lists everything you need and describes any special stitches in an easy to understand way for beginners, with plenty of photos but also includes QR codes that link to video tutorials.
Snarky Crochet is perfect for any “hooker” with a sense of humor, no matter skill level.
And, if you get one of these finished products as a gift from me, it means I like you!

Intro sets the book up well. As does the cover which indicates not all these patterns are appropriate for all audiences (not a bad thing just something to keep in mind). Loved the video inserts. Living on vibes: 4.25/5
